OVERVIEW
Glasshouse Christian College was undergoing a large addition to its facilities, and was in need of a team capable of its scale.
HOW WE HELPED
Herron Coorey tendered, and was selected to construct a performing arts centre, as part of Stage 1C at Glasshouse Christian College.
The building of the three-storey performing arts centre entailed careful implementation of architectural plans to provide the best theatre experience. The large, 600-seat auditorium required space-conscious and functional construction, where the internal structure must have both accommodated for proper acoustics, and appropriate soundproofing.
Externally, the facility includes paths and ramp access, and the construction of a services enclosure for fire sprinkler pumps, booster assemblies and water storage, with associated civil stormwater works.
The completion of this project was valued at $9.48m, and took a duration of 50 weeks. The project was finished in 2021.
Herron Coorey was joined by the architects at Fulton Trotter, and the structural engineers at Cardno to build functional and safe spaces at Glasshouse Christian College.
